This is a personal, cultural and unofficial website about the Verges Procession and Dance of Death. It does not represent Verges Town Council, the organising association, or any other public or religious institution.

2. What data may be processed?

  • Technical and security data: IP address, browser, device, date, time, requested pages and server logs.
  • Usage and advertising data: cookie identifiers, interactions and aggregate information generated by Google Analytics, Google AdSense and the internal visit counter.
  • Communications: email address, name if supplied and the contents of messages sent.

There are no active contact forms or public comments. No special categories of personal data are requested.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Keeping the site available, secure and stable, preventing abuse and resolving incidents: legitimate interest in administering the website.
  • Replying to emails: consent shown by contacting the website and, where relevant, steps taken before entering into an agreement.
  • Producing statistics with Google Analytics: consent.
  • Serving and measuring advertising with Google AdSense, including personalisation where authorised: consent for non-essential technologies. Advertising helps meet hosting and maintenance costs.
  • Complying with legal obligations and valid requests: legal obligation.

4. Recipients and providers

Depending on the service used, data may be processed by Hostinger (hosting and technical logs) and Google (Analytics, AdSense and Gmail), as well as essential technical providers. Personal data is not sold.

Google and other providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where relevant, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another safeguard recognised by the GDPR. See the Google privacy policy.

5. Retention

  • Emails are kept for as long as needed to reply and manage the exchange, and afterwards while legal liabilities may arise.
  • Technical logs are kept for the period needed for security, diagnosis and legal obligations, according to the hosting configuration.
  • Cookie-related data is kept for the periods stated in the cookie policy or in each provider’s settings.
  • Data based on consent is processed until consent is withdrawn, without affecting data that must be retained by law.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection to processing and, where applicable, portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to tecnoyfoto@gmail.com, state which right you wish to exercise and provide only the information needed to verify your identity.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), the authority where the controller is established. You may also contact the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.

7. Children and automated decisions

The site does not intentionally seek to collect children’s data. The website controller does not make automated decisions producing legal effects for visitors. Advertising providers may use automated processes to select adverts according to consent and their own settings.
